This post addressed to Diane, Hr. Vad anyone in COS out there. It pertains to "brain-damage" and dualism. Before getting into that, something must be said.

That western christians are neurasthenic, in some way schizoid in their world-view, has been noted by many experts in the past. Dr. Petersen (Mind of the Ninja) addressed this in psychological terms. Repression, sublimation, etc. have been addressed in the past by Freud and others and constitutes the TOTAL of psychological ailments seen in the west today. No intelligent person NEEDS to be barraged with numerous details on this subject. It's too well known. (OK. You got me. The white-trash type DUH people don't know it. Ok.) And we all know that we all tend to define things by what they are NOT from sensual experience. Hot is NOT-COLD, etc. And yes yes, there are degrees of hotNESS and coldNESS and warm and cool. Not the point. Petersen and Freud and others were not talking about such mundane dualities either, when tossers bring this up as scratch did, they are PRETENDING to be stupid and PRETENDING to not grasp what is being said here. We are all speaking specifically about a blatantly schizoid tendency NOTABLE PRIMARILY in western thought but which is NOTABLY NOT the kind of mind-set held by "geniuses" and discoverers of real sciences, technology and etc. Inventors, the creators. KNOWERS.

In "Convalescence From Christianity" we tried to present a more concrete view of this sickness. We took off from Bertrand Russell's neurasthenic idea. This ties into what most people into "magic" know as "chakra blockages." It is easy to explain it this way because these things can be directly FELT. Without getting technical or mystical, we tried to show that the typical western christian upbringing turns the child away from instinct. Now, WHO doesn't know this? Then we tried to show how the instinct GUIDES the sensory mechanisms (fivesenses) and we used animals and children to show this in very very simple terms. Hill and I both wrote this article. From there, we came up with how the LOGIC CENTERS and problem solving abilities end up flawed to various degrees DUE to this. Example we gave were numerous, from "FINISH your dinner" when child is full; or "EAT THAT I worked all day making it," when child HATES the taste (his mouth is saying NO to the food and he might even be alle rgic); to "PUT ON YOUR JACKET, IT IS COLD OUT," when the child doesn't FEEL cold, to the later, much later problems that infect the puberty of all xian people (ALL OF THEM). They are traumatized people, to one degree or the other. ALL of them are. (Why the hell do you all imagine that you EX-xians got INTO Satan to begin with? You think we who were born into it don't NOTICE THIS? We even notice how you make an issue out of using the word Satan which could be called many other things. WE NOTICE. If you were happy IN YOUR OWN HOUSE, you'd have STAYED THERE.)

I was of the opinion that such schizoid mentality AND BEHAVIOR (repression) was easily cured or that it was just some quirk that people who "aren't too bright" tend to have. Dualist "thinkers" never come up with real ideas, their science ideas are flawed, they can't seem to GRASP the things and even when they memorize the data in school they find it hard to APPLY this in real life. Again, I thought it was just bad breeding, or 2000 years of stupid people breeding, or some deadening of the instincts from childhood (which xian upbringing does normally). The type is visible, no matter what language they use to structure their concepts. They can talk academese like anan423 did and they come up with WRONG CONCEPTS. Are they all failed chemists, failed physicists, failed mathematicians. Then they must just be not that bright. Well. I turned out to be wrong. Do they have chakra blockages? Yes, but this is not just a matter of some psychological thing one can get over and be cured fr om. We thought it was.

It was modern neurology (and a lot is being said about this in many places these days and even now they're studying how chimps behave toward their young to try to learn or UNLEARN habits that are ubiquitous in any xian home. It is NEUROLOGY and emprical testing that has now stated that this schizoid condition is a kind of miswiring or developmental damage in the brain. And they also say it CAN NOT BE fixed. Shunting the child away from bodily instincts, as xian parents do, is the WORST THING POSSIBLE for a child. Antonio Demasio is the top leading neurologist in the field, but many others have done similar tests and done the same. The naming of his book "Descarte's Error" is explained by him. It's easy to see that he did NOT call it "Xianity" so as not to get into hot water. He explains how Descartes was not really a dualist at all, but that CARTESIAN DUALISM is what he intends to show as THE PARAMOUNT ERROR in thinking that has obscured any REAL knowledge of this condition tha t perpeates the xian west. Diane has a post wherein I quoted verbatum specific things he said that characterizes this type of person. The comparison he makes to the one we all recognize as "the typical xian type" is amazing. We who knew this in terms of chakras and our own doctrines were SHOCKED by what neurology PROVED. SHOCKED. So then. They don't have chakra blockages. They aren't merely dumber people who can't think up right ideas about anything. They are BRAIN DAMAGED and what's wrong CAN'T BE FIXED! We of our traditions used to imagine that they'd only have to FACE what obscures them and LET GO to be "ok." Well, generations of occultists in my own tradition were evidently wrong. I was wrong too. I trust the laboratory more than I trust a tradition. For one, none of us HAVE this problem of repression/oppression at all. NONE of us. ALL of us are able to think not only logically but in a highly synthetic manner. Our doctrines on "klippoths" or "chakra blocks" were done by looking AT "xian types". None of us ever took such people into a lab. Freud seemed to be agreeing with us. Bertrand Russell seems to be agreeing with the hard neurology. I.e.,: neurasthenia can't just go away. Such people will always be akathartic (repressed, oppressed, pent-up, unreleased, partially NUMB) to SOME degree o r another. Some will graduate to what we call ophionic to some degree or another (full blown ides of fantasy and desire to make their fantasies into reality).

That we should come, in thousands of years, to recognize this TYPE of neurasthenic person as Brendan described is not a strange idea. We DO recognize it because it is easy to recognize. It's not a matter of race like black, white, yellow. We NEVER SAID this, but it is true that blacks are not a particularly repressed race of people. But such a tendency COULD BE called a KIND of "race trait" or "BREED" tendency when you figure that ONE GROUP OF PEOPLE long ago in Persia thought this way. Those people went west. They ended in England and many came to the USA. They always think up the same KINDS of ideas that tend to shove you away from the BODY/FLESH/CARNALITY and seek to focus on the mind, or become "pure consciousness." They ALL THINK UP the same kinds of ideas which neurology has PROVEN EMPIRICALLY to be completely ludicrous. They DO tend to have a "look." But not always. But they definitely DO behave in recognizable ways that even Demascio categorized. Sure they are easy to spot. MORE than easy. But people who are not like that would easily be able to BEHAVE LIKE that (any actor could do it) if they wanted to, say in some formal situation where they didn't want to be noticed. In that case, we would not be able to tell if they were like that "for real" or not. Such people tend to come up with the SAME IDENTICAL concepts and they are ABSOLUTELY WRONG concepts. Wrong not by mere opinion, but ABSOLUTELY wrong. The philosophy of TOS is enough to suffice (on a satanic INTERNET) as ONE example of "absolutely wrong" about everything. So is fundie Christianity. Note that Convalescence from Xianity does not address the TOS in any way as it's about the larger "thing" out there: XIANITY. There are millions of xian people with this sickness. There are so few tossers, maybe 75 in the USA, they aren't mentioned at all in that article. On the satanic INTERNET the issue is simple: TOS IS xianity; that its members can't see it is not surprising to me. The ones who clearly do see it end up leaving. I'd NOT say that modern Catholic ideas are absolutely wrong about everything and Catholics (the Pope) don't tend to try to MAKE SCIENCE cow-tow to religion as if "believing it" will "make it happen." Far from it. What is empirically true scientifically, the Pope has become very liberal on, but he cautions that RELIGION is NOT science. The entire PURPOSE of faith is to have faith in what is NOT TRUE, to have faith in THE IMPOSSIBLE. Even the POPE knows this. But fundies don't know this, and TOS doesn't know it. Attempts to explain the faith by lo gically interpreting scripture or finding some trick Jesus might have pulled to "walk on water" only destroy the intent of Catholicism: they destroy the FAITH ITSELF. Key idea: FAITH is far away from FACT.

In our article "Convalescence From Xianity" (revised) we talked down in the most layman possible manner. We didn't even use psychological terms because such might have already been misunderstood by people and would only continue to be misunderstood again. We used NEW terms that we tried to tailor to suit the meanings which were meticulously explained by example and anecdote. Instinctual. This urges and guides the five senses which GROW/DEVELOP to learn how to fulfill the biological urges OF the instinctual. Lastly, is the logic which services this instinctual and knows HOW to do it due to the senses. Neurology calls this ALL a "body-map" and states that without this body-map the person does not have logic, can not carry out to the end one single logical act. They have the empirical data. But we did not write this article for doctors or biochemists or neurologists. We wrote it FOR neo-satanists! We wrote it to show them what "christian osmoconsciousness" was. We didn't try to talk over anyone's head. We tried our best to CONVEY THE DATA, NOT to impress anyone.

The tossers are in a blither because everything "our side" is saying refutes every single tenet of their BELIEFS. Well, it also refutes every tenet of xian BELIEF, the hard-core type. That "chaos magicians" have figured quantum mechanics into their theories is of no concern to any of us. We are NOT INVOLVED in the PUBLIC occult "scene" nor do we want anything to do with it. Most of you KNOW this. Phenomenology is old, not new, so is chaos theory MATHEMATICS (NOT related to the magical stuff). Dr. LaVey is not a chemist or a physicst, NOR DID HE EVER CLAIM TO BE, but it took this to PROVE that science DOES INDEED know what this force he referred to is, this dark HIDDEN FORCE IN NATURE (p. 16, S.B.). Tossers accused us of parroting LaVey. No we didn't. We simply showed that what he is talking about is ABSOLUTELY REAL. It never fails. Let us simply prove that what COS was saying is real and that what TOS is saying is fantasy/faith and they jump all over us, even threaten me wit h arsenals of guns! Gee, I feel like I'm back at the time of Darwin with fundies attacking me and making threats. TOS has come up with a pure religion, religion is pure fantasy. They wonder why intelligent people would reject it? Because TOS says their ideas are factual. The Pope doesn't do this. The Pope asks you to have FAITH in miracles. The Pope doesn't show himself to be delusional by qualifying this. But Tossers DO prove this and more, they attack factual reality. Our articles do not address the TOS save for a MENTION in the article on Set wherein I did Michael Aquino the FAIRNESS of quoting him verbatum from a TV show he was on. Even in other articles where "Setians" (the ancient ones) are spoken of, I made sure to say, "I DO NOT MEAN the Temple of Set here." In fact, the ancient "Setians" were a JEWISH (ethnic) neo-Christian sect of people known among Jews today as "Aristotelean Jews." They were opposed to the Ophites and others.

People raised outside the xian anti-instinct culture don't tend to NEED faith or miracles, nor do they tend to THINK UP ideas that are in the realm of fantasies. Neither do animals: they wouldn't survive if they did this. A smart kid is not going to tend to think up faith-ideas. Right there, that kid will run into trouble with xian parents. Our kids are told to SPEAK UP, speak from the heart. SPEAK YOUR MIND. Speaking truths is not considered impolite. On the contrary. Anyone who can MAKE YOU FEEL like holding back what you feel, or from speaking the truth on a subject is NO DIFFERENT than any Grand Inquisitor of the past. They want to SILENCE truths, especially when the truths refute their beliefs.
